I’m a huge fan of fashion, illustration and red lipstick and what happens when my dream worlds collide? I end up discovering talent i.e Katie Rodgers of Paperfashion.net.

I look forward to seeing her updates on instagram and I’m easily swept-away into her world, wishing I could stay in the land of tulle and lace.

Katie graciously took time out of her busy day to dish about her favorite hues and tell us why she chooses red.

Mysterious Red, Nars — Nars, Mysterious Red

I try other colors but always go back to red. I love how timeless it is. My favorite lip color at the moment is NARS Velvet Matte Pencil in Mysterious Red. I’ve tried a million brands of lipstick and NARS velvet pencils are my favorite. I also love Chanel Rouge Velvet 38 Fascinante. Red lipstick is not only a powerful look; it creates a powerful mind. – Katie Rodgers, Paperfashion.net

I’ve been so inspired by Katie, that I almost bought a set of colored pencils and drawing paper, but I hesitated, and may still attempt at being more creative.
