Red Lipstick:
“I started wearing red lipstick while interning at L’Oréal; I shared my office with a makeup artist and naturally I asked him for beauty tips. He recommended that I try red lipstick and from then on I was hooked. I like to highlight my lips and red brings a nice luminosity to my pale complexion. I also find red lipstick to immediately change the way you carry yourself, like an elegant dress, a luxurious perfume or high heels. Sometimes when I’m going out to the opera or a concert at night with no time to change, I just add red to my lips and feel dressed up. Actually, I apply my lipstick with my finger because it allows me to choose how deep I want my red, from barely-there to a chic full-on look. It’s like having several lipsticks in one. That may be why I own only one red lipstick, Guerlain Le Rouge G in Gala (n°21).
