The Beauty Molecule by Fountain Beauty

Fountain BeautyYou guys know by now that if a vitamin or potion promises to give me healthy skin, that I’m going to drink it, right?

I recently started taking 1 Tsp of The Beauty Molecule by Fountain Beauty.  I mix it into my morning smoothie which consists of: 1/2 banana, 3 large organic frozen strawberries, a handful or organic mixed berries and a cup of organic orange juice.  I also mix in 2 Tsp of Collagen, and some filtered water.  It doesn’t taste fattening, but the benefits in a few weeks are going to be worth it.

I’ve been drinking this concoction every morning since the beauty molecule arrived.

It’s only been a few days, but I’m in it for the long-haul.

The Importance of Healthy Skin

Ladies never under estimate the power of healthy skin.  Caroline Issa, Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea and Julia Restoin Roitfeld are living examples I try my best to emulate.

Why? Because as we get older we would rather be out and about exploring the world and end up shifting our priorities. Demanding careers, motherhood and the pressures of family and relationships come into play.  Not to mention self-confidence, it’s just another perk.

These thoughts came to mind today because although I’ve seen pictures of Sofia and Julia all dolled out, I rarely see photos of Caroline Issa in well applied full-blown makeup, come to think of it not many exist or get published in my online media searches.

Carolina shows us that it’s okay to walk out of our door bare-faced, or with a light BB cream and touch of crimson and not much else.

Remember that makeup is supposed to enhance our features, not cover our skin like a mask.

Personally since I had been dealing with eye issues, I’ve become accustomed to skipping mascara, I’m okay now if I’m running late and I just skip it entirely every so often.

City Girl in Red Lipstick – Paloma Picasso, Jewelry Designer

23_picasso-theredlistI found two articles online today on the WSJ.com and  both had to do with Pablo Picasso and that caused my mind to wander.

I’ve always been an admirer of Paloma and remember having owned her signature red lipstick, known as Mon Rouge.  I decided to Google her and found this quote:

I actually find myself doing the same thing, only I also wear my Giants baseball hat.

I learned my lesson hundreds of dollars later and stick to crimson, what about you?

I’ve been a fan of Ali’s since her bachelorlette days several years ago.  I thought she was an adorable young lady and was proud of the fact that she was from San Francisco.  Nothing has changed, she’s still as adorable as ever and recently hosted Men’s Health 9th Annual Urbanathlon by Ralph Lauren Fragrances Polo Red.

She jumped over cabs, climbed over buses while sporting her new hairstyle and making it look effortless.

I just have to remember to watch E since she’s one of the hosts.

Lady Danger & Lena Dunham

LenaI’ve had a long two weeks, first it started with two book lectures.  Anita Hill and Lena Dunham.  Let’s say I walked away impressed with both women.  I also managed to read Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham and loved it.

I’m a huge admirer of good literature, although I can’t say this will become a classic, it’s definitely a good read.

I also finally walked into my neighborhood Mac and bought Lady Danger.  I can honestly say that I loved the color, but the texture didn’t like me.  I found it too drying and not long-lasting to say the least.  It completely came off during my morning cup of green tea and I drink everything out of a straw.

I finally took it back yesterday and vowed to never buy Mac again, I knew there was a reason why I stayed away from it.

Well, are any of you any baseball fans? Believe it or not, I’m a huge Giants fan,and I am enjoying the World Series, it’s highly stressful, because anything can happen and it’s not over yet.
