If you’re like me, then most of the time you might skip the eye makeup. I have to admit I don’t always know what colors would work with my eye color or how to apply it. I happen to be a veteran of makeup application, but still eye makeup intimidates me.
I also tend to wear Red Lipstick the majority of the time, which doesn’t help with my eye makeup application skills.

Anita: What are your top 5 favorite beauty products?
Angelica: PurePressed Base– it is my concealer, foundation and SPF in two seconds! It’s so easy I can put it on in the dark! 2. Pommisst– Smells delicious and it’s refreshing. My skin feels quenched when I mist. 3. In Touch Cream Blush– It gives me a beautiful soft glow that lasts all day, plus it smells like chocolate when I put it on. My boyfriend kisses me in the morning while I’m getting ready and says “Mmm, you smell like chocolate!” 4.Mystikols– These are simply the most amazing products a makeup junkie could have. The creamy-powder formula glides on and the beautiful color lasts forever! I can do a tight line, a smokey eye or a pretty fresh look. It works as liner, intense shadow and the highlighter end can be used anywhere on the face. I will never be without these again. 5. Longest Lash Mascara – My lashes look dark, full and feathery and still look natural. No tarantula lashes! Plus it conditions them. I always use this with Lash Extender & Conditioner first and love my lashes!
Anita: Okay – what are your favorite non-brand beauty products?
Angelica: 1. Desert Fields Hydrating antioxidant Cream – this beautiful rich cream is ultra-hydrating and my skin looks better even when I use prescription Retin A. It is made by precious botanicals found in Afghanistan. I know about this tiny company because my sister started it. It is an amazing cooperative that is focused on rebuilding Afghanistan ” With Blossoms, Not Bombs.” 2. Burt’s Bees Milk & Honey lotion – It smells yummy, ( I’m noticing a theme here) and mositurizes well. I feel soft all day! 3. No-Miss Base Coat – it is a non-toxic, no formaldehyde, no toluene base coat that makes my polish last at least 5-7 days without chipping! I feel good about putting that base coat down on the part that is touching my nail, then if I feel like wearing the trendiest shades in a more conventional brand , I am OK with that. 4. MorocanOil hair treatment – a little of this in my hair before drying and styling keeps it soft and shiny.
Anita: Time for my favorite question: What’s your favorite shade of Red Lipstick?
Angelica: Just Kissed Lip Plumper in Tokyo, it is the perfect shade of fool-proof Red for my skin tone. It is sheer and not scary. I am an eye makeup gal, so my lip color is usually sheer and soft. This has made me braver to try other reds like our new Lip Fixation in Rapture – which is a strong and true red, I dot two little dabs and spread with my finger tips to keep the color sheer. Because this is a long-wearing lip stain, it lasts through morning coffee and two meetings without fading!
Anita: If you only had 5 minutes in the morning, what products would you use?
Angelica: I only have 5 minutes in the morning! I start with clean and moisturized skin – then I apply InTouch Cream blush with the foundation brush, PurePressed Base ( applied with the sculpting brush) to the dark circles under my eyes, my eye lids and the red areas around my nose. Then PurePressed Powder all over my face, neck and decollete, then a good spritz of Pommist. Next comes my favorite triple eye shadow kit, Mystikols and Lash Extender & Condioner – before layering on Longest Lash in Black Ice. I grab a Lippie that I can apply at my desk and Voila! The thing I love about jane iredale makeup is that it doesn’t need touching up, and you can layer it without it getting cakey!
