I finally found a new shade I’m in rapture with and it’s by Tom Ford.
Ruby Rush goes on smooth, it’s hydrating and has long-lasting staying power. Plus the color is gorgeous, a cross between a a berry red/blue red and I have not been able to put it down.
It’s a perfect red matte lipstick that goes with everything of course.
I lip line with my Jungle Red lip pencil by Nars or My Red lip pencil by Lipstick Queen and my results are kissable all afternoon.
So, has anyone picked up a new shades of crimson?
And the packaging is to die for, need I say more?
Jungle Red by Nars is a personal favorite that is being worn down to the nub. If you guys haven’t seen the movie “The Women” that’s where the name for the iconic lipstick came from.
I love that movie and watch it every other year or so. I’m a huge fan of 1930’s Films. Why? Not only because the leading ladies wore matching red lips and nails, but because some of the best writing went into those movies.
So, what’s your favorite 1930’s film?
Okay, I’ve been having a hard time putting down my Nars, but really like the New Besame Tango Red. What to do, I ended up applying the Tango Red first and layering on top my Jungle Red by Nars.
I have to say that the results are pretty, and perhaps one day there will be a new selfie to show you guys how pretty it actually is.
What two shades do you mix?
Over at Elle Es they have a post dedicated to red lipstick, and the various shades that compliment an array of skin tones.
I found one that I’m going to have to go try on this weekend, as I have been wearing my New Nars “Jungle Red” for the past few months.
What do you guys think?
‘Art Stick’ (27 €), de
Bobbi Brown. En el tono ‘Harlow Red’.
I love this clean, sophisticated and elegant look. Carey Mulligan may usually wear favorite nudes and pinks but she chose a regal-princess-like chic at Cannes.
I can’t rave enough about how pretty her makeup and hair looked, bravo to her beauty team!
I haven’t seen Gatsby yet, I just don’t want Leo to die….
