Flowers – Taylor Tomasi-Hill

I’m the sort of girl that buys herself flowers, I have a penchant for peonies and baby yellow roses.

Recently Taylor Tomasi-Hill branched out and gave into her passion of floral arrangement and she’s now the darling of the fashion set.

You can see why, she chooses the most usual flowers, creating one-of-a-kind floral arrangements.

I don’t think I could duplicate this, but saving the photo is close.

Paloma Contreras – La Dolce Vita Blog

westsideforesthouse_may2014-233-600x400You guys may not realize that I love blogs that showcase interior design, and if I ever had the funds to furnish a completely new abode, I would hire Paloma Contreras.

She recently finished a project where she allowed her blog followers to see her work.

I am in love with the colors, the decor itself is gorgeous.  Now you see why I would enlist her help.

She was a high-school teacher before she gave into her passion for interiors and we are so glad she did.

Isn’t it breathtaking?

Running Errands – Flour & Co.

Flour@CoI took yesterday off due to the fact that I had a few doctor appointments.  On my way back from the first appointment I walked into Flour&Co.  An adorable bakery that sells a combination of Gluten Free baked goods and other freshly baked pastries.

I actually visit Flour&Co after every doctor’s appointment, since it’s not in my neighborhood it doesn’t happen often.

On this trip I noticed the Cherry Hand Pie in the window and although it wasn’t Gluten Free, I had to have it.  I’m a sucker for cherry pies.

It went down so easily and quickly that I was tempted to get another, but I didn’t.

Do you guys have any weaknesses when it comes to food?

P.s I was tempted to bring home a slice of that chocolate cake in the window, but held back.

Most Coveted – Do Brasil by Aurelie Bidermann

DoBrasilEveryone has an item of clothing, or something that they dream about. Besides dreaming about a new handbag, I’ve been dreaming about the Aurelie Bidermann Do Brasil bracelet.

I know that a good DIY person can recreate one, but for me it wouldn’t be the same.

I’m just going to have to wait until the tides turn in my favor.

What item are you guys dreaming about?

Blushing Pretty – Votre Vu

1150-00-product-detail-view0This is a gorgeous blush/bronzing palette that highlights and illuminates our best features, without adding an extra layer of makeup to our skin.

The pigment is strong and sheer at the same time, giving the skin a healthy dose of glow. Oh and did we mention it’s organic.

Need help applying your blush/bronzer? Here’s an easy makeup tutorial to achieve that certain je ne sais quoi.

Here’s to happy blushing!

Friday Night – Date Night

Troya-Dinner After the hectic week we had, Mark and I planned a relaxed Friday evening.  We stayed local and tried a new restaurant named Troya, a Mediterranean inspired restaurant that served the most amazing food.

Being on my strict meal restrictions I was still able to indulge in a lovely dinner of  chicken and chickpea salad.  Mark opted for something more exotic and ordered the lamb kabobs.

He’s so patient with me, giving me time to photograph our meals before digging in, thank you honey!

BreakfastThe next morning we had breakfast at one of my favorite places, La Boulange Bakery.  I had the omelet with spinach, mushrooms, ham, swiss cheese and a side salad, again keeping with my desire to eat clean.

Mark not having to worry about his weight indulged in French toast, which he said was delicious.

The rest of my weekend turned into cleaning out my bedroom, where I took down two full bags of trash and clothes I just knew I was never going to wear again.

So, what did you guys do?

Emerald City

Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie

I used to watch the Housewives  of Beverly Hills and my mouth dropped when I saw the earrings on Kyle Richards.

The emerald earrings she was wearing I know cost a fortune, and they looked amazing with her dark hair and fair skin.

emerald-teardrop-earrings-KJL-inspired-Kenneth-Oscar-Jolie-StatementBaubles-aSame thing with Angelina Jolie, I have a serious penchant for a gorgeous pair similar to those. What do you guys think?

Style Inspiration

20-weeks-pregnantI love fashion blogs that inspire people in the arts of interiors, fashion, health and beauty.  These are just some of the photos that I recently posted to my inspiration board, now remember you don’t have to splurge  if your budget isn’t what you would like it to be.  You just have to know your fabrics and know what you would pay for or not pay for.

chic mrs de la winter_thumb[3]What do these women all have in common? They keep it clean, simple and classic.  Their clothes are timeless.

Always invest in great basics, and always buy two of everything you love.  I practice doing that and usually will buy a cardigan at full price and get a 2nd if and when they go on-sale.

Now, I really, really want a lighter shade Grey cardigan, just like the one’s shown in these photos. One perk about these photos is that you can imagine a pair of Converse High-tops with them instead of ballet flats.

What’s your wardrobe inspiration?

Favorite BB Cream – Laniege

snow-bb-essence1BB Creams are important because they combine state of the art technology and amazing anti-aging benefits to the skin.

They aid the skin in renewal and don’t leave your skin with that caked on makeup look.

Our BFF Vanessa came to visit us early this year and gifted my sisters and I a BB Cream from Laniege.

Now, being makeup junkies we already had several foundations, BB and CC Creams on hand. At first We didn’t really use it, but now all three of us are in love.

We love it so much that we have been using it everyday since we discovered it left your skin dewy and natural looking with just the right amount of coverage.

So, what BB Cream are you using?
