I don’t know about you guys but I love playing with colour, layering, mixing and matching. A new brand I mentioned awhile ago is by MAKE.
The colours are bold, look-at-me colours that can be applied subtly or with dramatic flair. Everything is in the wrist and your favorite makeup brushes, although I have been known to use my fingertips.
This palette is called Celeste e Verde, Blue & Green and the colours are sublime. The pigments have long-wearing colour, they don’t come off until you take them off.
I can’t wait to try these with one of my various shades of crimson and guess what? If you forget to take your tried&true red, there is a red inside that not only compliments the shades but various skin tones. Plus, if you’re not in the mood for red there are other shades available.
Truly a collection of fiery brights and gorgeous earth tones.
I love early birthday presents, thank you! I eagerly opened up the box like a little girl and was so excited over the amazing colours. Especially the Hot Lips L401, I immediately applied the color over my Dragon Girl and am in love!
It’s like an orange-red that can be deepened for a darker-red. I may not be describing it right and trust me, my picture is not doing it justice.
All three shades are perfect for summer and after summer. I thought about applying the color to my hand to show you, but even then it wouldn’t do it justice.
*The set contains:
Milky Lips L207, Nude Pink: high-pigment lipstick with an incredibly lightweight feel
Glazed Lips L304, Sheer Orange: super high-shine gloss
Hot Lips L401, Bright Red: pigment-rich formula with a non-greasy finish
long-wearing, paraben-free, packed with pigment, moisturising Candalila Wax and Vitamin E, and of course no animal testing, because these products are “Only Tested On Supermodels”.
I have never been so in-love over a new shade of red like I am right now. The pigment is comfortable, non-drying and just gorgeous for this Leo girl.
You can purchase the colours individually or keep an eye out at Net-A-Porter.
Jungle Red by Nars is a personal favorite that is being worn down to the nub. If you guys haven’t seen the movie “The Women” that’s where the name for the iconic lipstick came from.
I love that movie and watch it every other year or so. I’m a huge fan of 1930’s Films. Why? Not only because the leading ladies wore matching red lips and nails, but because some of the best writing went into those movies.
